Water Supply Restrictions For Various Areas In The City

Residents and businesses are informed of water supply restrictions due to a leak on 53 Pipeline in the vicinity of Cascades Office Park, Pietermaritzburg.
Umgeni Water has isolated the pipeline for repairs and during this process, there will be a reduced flow of potable water to some parts of the City from the DV Harris Water Treatment Plant.
The repairs are expected to be complete by 10 February 2023 and consumers are urged to reduce consumption to prevent reservoirs from running dry as there will be reduced incoming flow into the system.
