The public is advised of the temporary road closure of Umhlangane Road at Riverhorse Valley, scheduled for Thursday, 19 May, from  06:30  to Friday, 20 May until 15:00.  

This closure will allow for the removal of damaged sewer pipes in preparation for repairs. 

Businesses, motorists and taxi operators in the area are requested to use the following alternative routes/deviations: 

- Those approaching from Queen Nandi Drive can use Effingham Road, turn left into Avoca Road and rejoin Umhlangane Road.  
- Those approaching from Chris Hani Road can turn left at Avoca Road, turn right into Effingham Road and rejoin Umhlangane Road.
