Swimming Pools Re-Open

ETHEKWINI NEWSFLASH

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

5 NOVEMBER 2022

Seventeen swimming pools have been re-opened in the City to enable residents and visitors to enjoy the warm weather.
 
The re-opened pools are: Rainham, Durban North, Pipeline, Umgababa, Tiger Rocks, Umlazi D, Anstey's, Tesouriere, Tills Crescent, Arena Park, Westville, Lahee Park, Marianridge, Chesterville, Kings Park for the Gala, South beach pool and Bay view pool.
 
The public will be informed of the re-opening of other pools which are currently undergoing maintenance.
 
The public is also reminded that following beaches are open for swimming: Point, uShaka, Addington, South, Wedge, North, Bay of Plenty, Battery, Country Club, Brighton, Reunion, Pipeline, Toti Main, Warner and Umgababa beaches.
 
The following beaches remain closed until further notice. They are Westbrook, Bronze, Laguna, Thekwini , uMhlanga, uMdloti,  Winkelespruit  and Anstey's beaches.
 
The City is constantly monitoring water quality at all beaches to ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
