Motorists are informed that the Road Provisions Department will be carrying out essential maintenance on the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Freeway M4 Freeway, at the bridge over Lansdowne Road from 09 May till 20 June. The work being carried out includes repairs to expansion joints on the bridge.

 

Traffic travelling in the northerly direction, towards the city will be interrupted as this will be reduced to two lanes for the duration of the maintenance period.

 

The city appeals to the public to exercise caution and patience when travelling in the vicinity, and to use alternative routes if possible.
