Restoration of water supply to parts of Tongaat

RESTORATION OF WATER SUPPLY TO PARTS OF TONGAAT
Residents supplied by Emona Reservoir in OThongathi will start receiving potable water through their taps as of today, 17 December. This follows successful repairs to infrastructure that was damaged by floods in April at Emona Reservoir.
Residents are cautioned to boil the water before use for the next few days. Alternatively, residents can mix one teaspoon of unscented, ordinary household chlorine bleach per 20 liters of water. Mix the solution thoroughly and let stand for at least 2 hours before use.
The public is encouraged to use these safety measures to as the resevoir has not been in use since the floods.
Areas supplied by the Emona Reservoir that will start receiving water include Emona housing development, Van Rova, Ramiah Road, Hill Road, Metcalf Road, Khan Street. Dularia street, Kannagamah Road, North Lane, View Road and Tesco Drive.
