Planned Water Shutdown for Tongaat And Surrounding Areas in The North of Durban
EThekwini Municipality would like to inform residents of the Tongaat North of Durban and the surrounding areas about the planned water shut down that will affect water supply in some of the areas in the region.
The Municipality’s Water and Sanitation will undertake a planned shutdown at Tongaat water works. This shutdown will allow for refurbishment and upgrade of electrical and mechanical components on the Burbreeze and Mamba Ridge pumps located at Tongaat waterworks.
To safely execute both electrical and mechanical work for these pumps, the entire pump station will therefore be locked out for the duration of the upgrade.
