Opening of SALGA KZN DSR Games 2019 Has Been Postponed

Due to inclement weather conditions members of the media are advised that the opening ceremony of the Salga KZN DSR Games 2019 has been postponed.

The torrential rain has affected some of the games, as a result, the following sport codes will be played in new venues. Netball: Umlazi Indoor Sport Centre, Rugby: Kings Park Outer Fields and Indigenous Games: Hoy Park.

Members of the media are invited to attend the opening ceremony, details of which are below. The ceremony will be preceded by a parade through the streets of Durban by participating Districts teams.

The new details are as follows.

Date: 13/12/2019

Time: 15:00

Venue: City Hall to proceed to Durban’s New Beach

The closing ceremony will still be held on 15 December at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Durban International Convention Centre at 14:00.
