Municipality Responds To Irregular Vehicle Removal

MUNICIPALITY RESPONDS TO IRREGULAR VEHICLE REMOVAL

EThekwini Municipality notes with concern the removal of six Municipal vehicles earlier today, 16 October following the execution of a writ. 

This action was taken without a judgment confirming any debt owed by the Municipality and was based on a misinterpretation of a court order.

The vehicles have since been released to the Municipality, and the matter is being addressed through the appropriate legal channels.
