MAYOR KAUNDA TO ASSESS STATE OF READINESS OF THE TOURISM SECTOR AS THE COUNTRY MOVES TO ALERT LEVEL 2
Following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement of placing the country on Alert Level 2, removing most of the lockdown restrictions and allowing for more economic activities, the City will tomorrow embark on a tour to assess the state of readiness for the tourism and hospitality industry for level two.
A high-level delegation led by eThekwini Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda will be taken through by the Umhlanga Community Tourism Organisation on a walkabout to restaurants located along Chartwell Drive to assess and ensure compliance to all the necessary Covid-19 health protocols and safety precautions.
