Mayor Kaunda to provide update on festive season safety plan and status of beaches and swimming pools

MAYOR KAUNDA TO PROVIDE UPDATE ON FESTIVE SEASON SAFETY PLAN AND STATUS OF BEACHES AND SWIMMING POOLS
EThekwini Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda will tomorrow, 15 December, update the public on the implementation of the festive season safety plan.
The extensive plan includes the deployment of new Metro Police recruits to increase police visibility in crime hot spots.
The Mayor will also update the public on the following:
• Status of beaches and swimming pools
• Water and sanitation infrastructure repairs
• Relocation of flood victims to family-friendly accommodation
The event will take place as follows:
