Mayor Kaunda To Unveil A Regional Fire Station in Verulam To Support Northern Areas of The City
IN an effort to strengthen emergency services in eThekwini, Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda will on Saturday, 15 May 2021, unveil a multi-million rand Regional Fire Station in Verulam.
The R25 million facility, which is one of eight new fire stations identified for development within the City, will ensure provision of the fire and emergency services to all communities.
This fire station is expected to service the northern areas including Caneland Industrial area, King Shaka International Airport, Cornubia development, Phoenix, uMhlanga, uThongathi, the R102 and N2 freeway.
Members of the media are invited to join Mayor Kaunda as he unveils this fire station. Details are as follows:
