Mayor Kaunda Congratulates Amazulu FC for Stellar Performance

EThekwini Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda has congratulated AmaZulu Football Club for finishing second in the DSTV Premiership log and for qualifying for the African Champions League. Mayor Kaunda heaped praise on the players, technical team and management who made club history by helping the team finish at their highest position ever.

“On behalf of eThekwini residents, we congratulate Inyokana Ehlazana for putting the City and province on the map. We hope this season’s inspirational performance by the club will reignite a passion for soccer and sport in eThekwini,” said Mayor Kaunda.

“We urge residents to continue supporting local teams who represent us in different sporting codes from the comfort of their homes. We look forward to filling up stadiums post Covid-19 to spur our teams to further victories.”

Mayor Kaunda praised the new management of the club, businessman Sandile Zulu and coach Benni McCarthy whose takeover of AmaZulu FC has changed the fortunes of the team.
