ETHEKWINI Municipality Mayor, Cllr Mxolisi Kaunda has condemned the killing of seven people who were shot dead in Msahweni area in Adams, south of Durban. The victims, who were found dead in a room last night, had sustained gunshot wounds to the head. The motive for the killing is still unknown at this stage.

 

Kaunda has urged the police to speed up the investigation surrounding the killing to ensure that the perpetrators face the full might of the law.

“It is unfortunate that during this difficult period when the country is faced with the COVID 19 pandemic there are people who are committing heinous crimes. We are confident that our law enforcement agencies will get into the bottom of this crime and bring perpetrators to book,” said Kaunda.

 

Kaunda called for calm in the area and urged members of the community who might have witnessed the crime to share information with the police.
