MAYOR KAUNDA AND MISS SA 2020 SHUDUFHADZO MUSIDA UNVEIL CAMPAIGN TO FIGHT NEW HIV INFECTIONS AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE AMONG YOUNG WOMEN IN AMAWOTI
ETHEKWINI Municipality Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda will tomorrow, 7 April 2021 launch the DREAMS (Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe) Programme which aims to reduce rate of new HIV infections particularly in adolescents and young women.
Mayor Kaunda will be joined by Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida as he addresses young women of eThekwini on the scourge of HIV, gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy and other social ills.
DREAMS is a national campaign aimed at empowering adolescent girls and young women to reach their potential and maximise their contribution to the society.
Members of the media are invited to join the Mayor and Miss South Africa 2020 on this educative campaign.
