ETHEKWINI NEWS FLASH FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9 MAY 2019 Last Few Spots Left At Main Durban Business Fair, Book Your Space Now WITH the closing date just around the corner, eThekwini Municipality encourages local businesses to book their place at the last remaining stands at the sought-after Durban Business Fair.
The Fair, one of the most eagerly-awaited platforms to showcase local entrepreneurial spirit, is a highlight on the business calendar, boosting local businesses.
Businesses that have interest in exhibiting their products at the main Durban Businesses Fair at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC and the Durban Exhibition Centre between 22 to 29 September, have until 31 May to register.
Businesses are urged to take this opportunity to be part of the Fair, which is expected to be bigger and better this year, with the aim to inspire entrepreneurs and visitors with a range of empowerment activities. It also intends to equip the business community with the appropriate skills to grow and sustain their businesses, through networking and linkages with various business sectors and potential buyers.
The Municipality plays an invaluable role in providing a platform, and a linkage between established businesses, local government, and helping grow businesses.
Several influential business role-players have been lined up to share their expertise in the business world, providing valuable advice and guidance to emerging entrepreneurs. Investors will also have a chance to tap into up-and-coming businesses.
Mayor Zandile Gumede said this year the Municipality is celebrating the 21st anniversary of the successful exhibition, which is an incredible milestone for the City.
“It is encouraging to see the impact this programme has made in developing the small business sector. There is no doubt that the Fair is one of the tools that we can use as the City in achieving Radical Economic Transformation,” said Mayor Gumede.
The Durban Business Fair also affirms the City’s investment profile, increases economic spinoffs, and creates employment opportunities.
