Izangoma And Fishermen to Join City On Beach Clean-Up As Groundwork To Achieve Blue Status Beaches
Izangoma and fishermen depends largely on the ocean. It is therefore of cardinal importance that as city’s important stakeholders it is instilled in them that beaches must be kept clean. As a result, they have been invited to join the crusade against litter to our beaches as one-way ticket to achieving blue flag status to all beaches.
Very soon eThekwini will be welcoming multitudes of holidaymakers and the city is not taking any chances. It is pulling all the stops to ensure that beach goers have a holiday to remember and thus becoming its ambassadors.
Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the clean-up campaign scheduled as follows:
DATE: Wednesday, 25 November 2020
TIME: 8am
VENUE: Blue Lagoon
