Teams from the City’s Water Operations are working round the clock to restore water supply in Hillcrest and surrounding areas following an emergency water shutdown yesterday, 13 April.

The team experienced technical challenges on site yesterday while undertaking the replacement of a leaking pipeline valve from the trunk main. This trunk main supplies water from the West Riding Reservoir to the Pinkney Park and Crestholme reservoirs.
 
Additional teams have been deployed to fast-track repairs.
The following areas are currently affected with water supply interruptions:  
• Parts of Hillcrest
• Waterfall
• Crestholme
• Kwanqetho
• Brackenhill
• Mshazi
• Molweni
