Residents and businesses are informed of an emergency shutdown affecting water supply to the Salisbury Reservoir in Westville. The City has experienced a major failure on both supply trunk mains conveying water to this reservoir.
As a result, water supply has been isolated while repairs are underway.
The reservoir has emptied while these repairs are being undertaken.
Repairs commenced earlier today, 24 August and is expected to be completed at 8.30pm this evening.
Once repairs are complete, the reservoir will start filling up.
Areas experiencing water outages include: • Westville South • Westwood area including Westwood Mall • The Boulevard Office Park • Westville Hospital • The Pavilion Mall • Parts of Westville Central
Consumers in the affected areas are urged to reduce their consumption until the reservoir recovers.
