Ease of Doing Business Seminar to Be Hosted In Durban

EThekwini Municipality in partnership with the World Bank, National Treasury and South African Revenue Services (SARS) will host the Ease of Doing Business in Durban Engagement Seminar on 21 November at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre. This engagement seeks to unpack the Sub-national Doing Business Programme to benchmark cities against one another to enable them to trade efficiently in the global and local space.

With the Fourth Industrial Revolution being the key focus in the business space, this platform will enable the City to innovatively identify and address economic challenges while bolstering and sustaining growth in the economy.

This in turn is expected to encourage private sector investment by making it easier to do business in the City, thereby having a positive impact on job creation and expansion of local economic activity.

There will be a panel discussion where experts will shed light on how the City of Durban is engaging in systems reform, to enable the ease of doing business and focussing on more efficient processes and procedures that will reduce turnaround time for business start-ups.

Members of the media are invited to be part of this informative seminar scheduled as follows:

DATE: Thursday, 21 November 2019
TIME: 07h00 am – 10h30am
VENUE: Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre
