EThekwini Municipality Unveils Platform For Business To Rejuvinate Inner City
 
EThekwini Mayor, Cllr Mxolisi Kaunda, will tomorrow, Wednesday 27 November 2019, host members of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, property developers and the business community at the launch of "City Means Business" at the Grayville Convention Centre.
 
The “City Means Business” is a series of engagements developed by the City, in partnership with the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry and aims to create a platform to have an interactive discourse with relevant businesses and stakeholders related to advancing employment, development and social inclusion in the City. The debut of these series commences with the Inner-City Regeneration Programme with particular focus on the Mahathma Gandhi Precinct.
 
Within the Inner-City there are 80 bad buildings, 33 of these falls within Mahathma Gandhi Precinct. Comprehensive plans have been developed to rejuvenate the Inner City on the scale that has never been seen before. On Wednesday, the Mayor will unpack plan to rejuvenate the precinct for economic growth and job creation.
