EThekwini Municipality Mayor, Cllr Mxolisi Kaunda, will tomorrow be leading Operation Sukuma Sakhe Mayoral Outreach Programme in six wards that make up the Victoria Mxenge Zone to assess the level of service delivery and make interventions where there are challenges.

 

The wards cover areas such as Chesterville, New Germany, Overport, Morningside, Clare Estate, Reservoir Hills, Berea, Westville, Sydenham and Durban North. The Mayor launched this programme last month by visiting 10 wards in the Durban South covering areas such as Umlazi, KwaMakhutha and Nsimbini.

 

By May next year, the Mayor and the leadership of the Municipality will have visited all 109 wards that make up eThekwini Municipality.

 

The Mayor’s programme for tomorrow will take place as follows:

Venue: Wiggins Community Hall, Chesterville

Time: 07:30-08:30

 

The Mayor will then proceed to assess the Wiggins Transit Camps, road infrastructure challenges in Road 18 and housing projects in the area.
