ETHEKWINI ECONOMIC SUMMIT TO DRIVE INCLUSIVE AND SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

EThekwini Municipality’s vision to advance inclusive and equitable economic development will take a significant step forward during a two-day eThekwini Local Economic Development (LED) Summit. 

The Summit will take place from 28 to 29 October at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Durban International Convention Centre (Durban ICC).

This pivotal gathering marks a defining moment in the City’s development journey, one where local economic development is positioned to drive both economic growth and social inclusion.

Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the Summit, which will be led by eThekwini Mayor Councillor Cyril Xaba.

Mayor Xaba will be joined by City executives and government leaders, representatives from financial institutions, esteemed businesses, academia, civil society organisations, and the broader business community. 

Themed around ‘Revitalising inclusive and sustainable economic growth’, the Summit is earmarked to chart a united path toward unlocking eThekwini’s local economic potential.

Media can look forward to robust discussions, catalytic project showcases, and the unveiling of key initiatives shaping the City’s new LED Strategy. 

The Summit will also highlight successful community-led models that demonstrate how inclusive economies can create jobs and reduce poverty.
