EThekwini Celebrates Heritage Through Art In The Park

ETHEKWINI CELEBRATES HERITAGE THROUGH ART IN THE PARK

Following the relaxation of lockdown regulations to level two, eThekwini Municipality has ushered in Heritage Month, September in style.

As part of Heritage commemoration, the Municipality will tomorrow, Tuesday 08 September 2020 host the ‘Art in the Park’ at Jameson Park. The event aims to present and recognise eThekwini women leadership through visual art.

Furthermore, art lovers will be inspired by illustrations that will be paying tribute to different women who inspired women in various sectors.

During this event, the Municipality’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Unit will get the opportunity to unpack it programmes for the month and announce the official opening of the Municipality’s Culture and Heritage facilities.

For the rest of the month, the City will be advocating for the public to visit heritage sites to be exposed to various resources that features cultural significance and history while promoting social cohesion and unity within communities.
