Durban Business Fair Empowerment Seminars Underway

To empower small, medium, and micro enterprises within the property industry to ensure a stable and conducive business environment, the City will host a business engagement on 21 September as part of the Durban Business Fair (DBF). The seminar will be held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (Durban ICC) under the theme ‘Collaborations for growth within the property development industry’.
It will feature industry roleplayers such as Nosipho Ndlela from Ithala Development Finance Corporation's Investment Finance division; Thobe Ndlovu, CEO of Thobethulani Trading; Manini Mbongwa, founder of Umsebenzi Wokwakha; and Lynette Ntuli, CEO of Innate Investment Solutions.
This seminar forms part of empowerment sessions being held during the DBF taking place from 20 to 25 September at the Durban ICC and Durban Exhibition Centre under the theme ‘Connecting Durban businesses to opportunities’
On 20 September, issues of compliance, central supplier database, and online supplier and self-service as well as identifying business opportunities will take centre stage at a business engagement themed ‘Conducting business with government made easy’.
On Thursday, 22 September, a women economic empowerment seminar will be held under the theme ‘Advancing women economic empowerment towards realisation of gender equality for inclusive economic growth’.
All three seminars start at 10am with free entrance for business owners.

The official build-up to the DBF kicked off on 17 September with an info packed digital marketing masterclass which ends on 20 September.
The masterclass aims to equip exhibitors on how to market their businesses in the digital world.
