Countdown begins for highly-anticipated 14th Durban Fashion Fair

COUNTDOWN BEGINS FOR HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED 14TH DURBAN FASHION FAIR
It’s all systems go for the 14th annual Durban Fashion Fair (DFF), taking place from 17 to 19 September 2025 at the Durban Exhibition Centre. With tickets selling fast and excitement building, fashion lovers are urged to come out in numbers to support Durban’s finest design talent, along with designers from other countries.
Being held under the theme ‘The Awakening’, this year’s DFF promises a powerful fusion of creativity, culture, couture, and commerce. Over 60 designers will bring their vision to life on the runway, while a vibrant pop-up market will run nightly, showcasing ready-to-wear clothing, accessories, leatherwear, sewing machines, and fashion souvenirs, all locally-produced.
Chairperson of the City’s Economic Development and Planning Committee, Councillor Thembo Ntuli, said eThekwini Municipality is ready to present a fashion extravaganza to attending buyers, clothing retail representatives, industry players, and fashion enthusiasts.
Councillor Ntuli extended heartfelt thanks to all designers and models for their commitment and hard work. He also conveyed special appreciation to the sponsors for their continued support and dedication to the programme. Special mention goes to partners such as MAC, Edgars, Dove, Perfect Choice, and Mercedes-Benz for their vital contributions in ensuring the DFF’s success and helping local talent advance in the business world.
“This event is more than just a fashion showcase; it is an economic driver. The DFF and its pop-up market embody the City’s commitment to supporting the creative economy and promoting local businesses, as part of our broader economic recovery strategy,” said Councillor Ntuli.
Tickets are available at Boxer and Pick ‘n Pay stores nationwide, online at www.webtickets.co.za, or via this link: https://share.google/i24p7QaO9Ol59mSBW. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Doors open at 5pm, with shows running from 6pm to 9pm.
Ticket options include R120 for a single show, R250 for a full-day pass, and R500 for VIP or three-day access.
A competition is currently running on the Durban Fashion Fair social media pages to upgrade lucky single-show ticket holders to full-day passes.
The showcase will culminate in the DFF Recognition Awards on 26 September, celebrating excellence and innovation in fashion.
