The KwaMashu Cemeteries and Crematoria Booking Office is closed until further notice. This is due to the recent civil unrest which saw the property vandalised.

 

Residents in the north central region are advised to use the office stationed at the Redhill Cemetery for burial bookings, leases and permits for memorial work for cemeteries. Alternatively, they can contact the Cemeteries and Crematoria Head Office on 031 311 4479 for further assistance.

 

The cremations and burial booking services of the following cemeteries are affected by the closure:

• KwaMashu Cemetery

• Ntuzuma Cemetery

• Inanda Seminary Cemetery

• Etafuleni Cemetery

• Redhill Cemetery

• Molweni Cemetery

• Newlands East Cemetery

 

The Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused and urges the public to be patient as repairs get underway.

 

The public will be advised when services at the KwaMashu Cemeteries and Crematoria Booking Office resume.
