City to Host Seminar to Highlight Key Biodiversity and Conservation Issues
Discussions over the possible impact of captive lion breeding on South Africa’s wild lion populations continues to shine a spotlight. The eThekwini Municipality is joining in the conversation to better understand the different views that exist in this regard.
To dissect these issues, The eThekwini Municipality’s Durban Natural Science Museum will tomorrow host a biodiversity seminar. The latter will highlight issues of captive breeding and canned hunting in the country.
The seminar themed “Lions across Africa” will be addressed by Pippa Hankinson, campaign director for Blood Lions.
Through the seminar, Durban Natural Science Museum aims to create awareness, encourage participation and accountability of citizens for their surroundings and their impact on the environment.
Members of the media are cordially invited to be part of this forum.
