*CITY PROBES ALLEGED ABUSE INCIDENT DESCRIBED IN VIRAL VIDEO*
The eThekwini Municipality is aware of a video of its female employee circulating on social media networks.
The employee alleges abuse by her male supervisor.
The Municipality views the allegations in a serious light and is opposed to gender-based violence and any kind of abuse.
The Municipality is investigating the matter, guided by legal prescripts that regulate labour matters.
The Municipality will not comment any further on this internal employer-employee relations matter.
