City To Host Fashion Activation To Support Local Designers
To promote the Buy Local initiative and to support the local fashion industry, the City will host a fashion activation at the Durban Fashion Fair (DFF) Emporium, located at uMlazi Mega City from 25 to 26 June.
The DFF Emporium sells items manufactured by local designers who were empowered through the Municipality’s DFF Development Programme.
Members of the media are invited to attend the fashion activation which will showcase the designers’ latest fashion ranges.
The four designers who were part of the team that designed Team SA’s Olympic and Paralympic kit will share their experience on how the City’s fashion development programme opened doors for them.
Further fashion development plans by the City will be unveiled during the activation.
