City Commemorates Significance Of 11th February with Inanda Heritage Route Tour

To highlight the importance of the historic Inanda Heritage Route, eThekwini Municipality will be commemorating 11th February with a public tour.

The date is significant as it is the day that Dr John Langalibalele Dube was born and died.

It is also the day that the late President Nelson Mandela, who cast his first democratic vote in Inanda, was released from prison.

Members of the media are invited to join the educational tour taking place on 12 and 13 February. The tour will explore historic tourism routes such as the KwaMuhle Museum, Dr Pixley KaSeme, Ghandi Settlement, and Ohlange Institute.

DETAILS OF THE TOUR ARE AS FOLLOWS:

DATE: Saturday and Sunday, 12 and 13 February 2022.

MEETING VENUE: North Beach Tourism Office (1 KE Masinga Road).

DEPARTURE TIME: 9am.
