Central Booking System for Renewal Of Driving Licences

The Verulam Driving Licence Test Centre has launched a pilot project to streamline the booking process for the renewal of driver’s licences. Metro Police Management has decided to pilot the above project in the best interest of public safety. It is aimed at preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus due to the large number of applicants queuing at the centre.

The public is required to contact the booking office and make an appointment to renew their driver’s licences. The number to call is (031) 322 1771 and (031) 322 1853.

The documents required include the original identity document, a copy of identity document, proof of residence, and preferably an eye test certificate from an optician (approved in terms of regulation 102 of the National Road Traffic Act 93/1996)

The booking office will be open from Monday to Friday from 08h30 to 14h30 excluding public holidays. Verulam Driving Licence and test centre operating hours are Monday to Saturday 07h00 to 14h00.
