As Women’s Month draws to a close, eThekwini Municipality will host a Women in Tourism Tour along the Inanda Heritage Route on 27 August.

 

The initiative is part of the City’s campaign to promote local tourist attractions. The tour will be graced by among others, media businesswoman Carol Bouwer, pioneer female aviation entrepreneur Sibongile Sambo, South African DStv Premiership Acting CEO Mato Madlala, South African on-air personality Nongcebo Mckenzie and soccer boss Shauwn Mkhize.

 

The tour aims to honour women who are at the forefront of advancing equality in the tourism and hospitality value chain.

 

The day will start with a tour of the Inanda Heritage Route followed by a young ladies engagement at Inanda Seminary. It will then conclude with a women in hospitality celebration at Artizen Lounge in KwaMashu.
