Besters Sizakala Centre Temporarily Closed

EThekwini Municipality has closed the Sizakala Customer Centre in Besters KwaMashu. The offices are being sanitised and will open to the public in the next day or two.

Municipal spokesman, Msawakhe Mayisela said, “We apologise to the public who use the Besters facility for the inconvenience. The Centre was closed for their own safety and that of staff.”

The city is doing everything within its power to ensure that Covid-19 regulations are applied strictly to prevent the spread of the virus. He explained, “Staff have been issued with face masks and face shields. Offices have been sanitised and we will also be rolling out the installation of screens in frontline offices.”

“The City will ensure that high levels of hygiene prevail and the number of people going to the customer centres will be managed. Customers will also be screened upon entry.”

The city would like to encourage residents to make use of the online facilities available to pay their bills if possible. Customers can access their utility bills on the following link: https://www.durban.gov.za/Online_Tools/Pages/eAccount_Registration.aspx
