Best Verge in the City to Be Announced
THE hunt for the best verge in the City in a form of an annual Verge Competition is finally over and the eThekwini Municipality will make a big reveal tomorrow, Thursday, 27 February at the Durban Botanic Gardens.
The Verge Competition is aimed at encouraging residents of eThekwini to beautify and maintain their verges at all times as well as to instil a sense of civic pride.
Over 100 entries were received this year and the best verge was chosen based on the Wow! Factor, civic pride, sustainability, aesthetic appeal, water-wise consideration, maintenance design and that it was invasive alien plant free.
Members of the media are invited to come and cover the event.
