Aspiring writers are invited to apply to be part of a two-day writing workshop as part of the Articulate Africa programme.
The writing workshop will be held on 30 and 31 March and aims to improve the writing skills of first-time authors.
Two workshops will be conducted in English and Zulu, each accommodating a maximum of 20 successful applicants.
To be considered, applicants must be a first-time writer and be 16 years and older. Applicants are expected to submit a one-page letter of motivation outlining why they want to attend the workshop and submit a fictional short story of between 2 500 and 3 500 words.
Applications close on 11 March 2022 at 4pm.

Articulate Africa is the flagship literary and art fair for the Parks, Recreation, and Culture Unit. It is one of the key projects of Durban’s UNESCO City of Literature designation which aims to showcase the City’s talent in the various creative fields.
