Another Multimillion Investment in EThekwini Municipality
 
The City of eThekwini has bagged yet another huge investment that will soon see the construction of a breathtaking shopping centre. Midway Crossing Shopping Centre, is located between Lindelani Township and Newlands West.
 
With this initiative, travelling long distances to do shopping, is now going to be history to residents in close proximity to it.
MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Sihle Zikalala and eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede will tomorrow, 10 April 2019, turn a sod of a 700 million worth of a shopping centre that will boasts total number of 66 shops.
 
As part of the Radical Economic Transformation, black owned businesses will acquire 40 percent stake with local community trust owning 5 percent of it. Shareholders include women, disabled people, youth and military veterans.
 
The project will create more than 1 000 permanent jobs and 600 during the contraction phase.
 
This ceremony comes hot on the heels of the biggest Makro in KZN opening its doors in Cornubia creating innumerable permanent job opportunities.
