*New Date For Shutdown Of Isiphingo Hills Reservoir To Undertake Maintenance Work*

PUBLIC NOTICE
6 JUNE 2025
 
EThekwini Municipality will on Saturday, 14 June shut down the Isiphingo Hills Reservoir in order to undertake necessary maintenance work.
 
This maintenance is necessary to improve the flow of water from the reservoir to customers, including residents and businesses.
 
The Isiphingo Hills Reservoir also supplies other dependent reservoirs, including the Isiphingo Beach and Athlone Park Reservoirs. 
 
During the shutdown, the dependent reservoirs will also be affected.
 
The shutdown will commence from 8am to 6pm on the same day. Thereafter, the system will begin to recover.
 
The following areas will be affected:
· Isiphingo Hills, Orient Hills, and Prospecton
· Isiphingo Beach, Durban Airport, and Prospecton Industrial
· Athlone Park, parts of Umbogintwini, Galleria Mall, and Arbour Crossing.
 
The Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused.
