Benchmarking exercise
Version 2.1
The attached spreadsheet has been developed for the City Water
Managers' Forum for the purposes of:
- learning about comparative performance of water services in the major
urban areas in South Africa
- identifying best practices for emulation by other cities
- identifying areas for improvement
It is not intended that these benchmarks be used for regulatory
purposes.
The benchmarks were proposed to the forum by members of the forum and
agreed to by the forum as a whole.
Status
This is the second version of the benchmarks. It is anticipated that the
benchmarks will be refined over time.
