Replacement of Windows at City Engineers Building

The City Engineers Department is located at Old Fort Place in Durban.  Due to the age of the building, the original wooden windows began to disintegrate and fall off.  This became a danger  to the public and staff.  The Architectural maintenance team was assigned the project of urgently replacing these windows with aluminum windows.  

The challenge in this project was to put a plan together to complete this project without affecting the daily critical operations the City Engineers’ staff.   It was unfortunate that the staff was exposed to the dust and noise but at the end of it all, a safe environment was created.
