Women in Business Graduation Ceremony

The eThekwini Municipality’s Business Support Unit in conjunction with Productivity SA are hosting a graduation ceremony for their Women Empowerment Project.

Eighty-one women from different walks of life participated in a training programme to learn how to increase the productive capacity of their businesses. They will now be graduating after the training and mentoring course.

The programme initially targeted those businesses, which are male dominated like the automotive, construction and maritime industries, however it was later extended to include all types of businesses.

The objectives of the programme are to assist women entrepreneurs to increase productive capacity within the business. This would be achieved by facilitating the development of women owned business, creating an environment conducive to growth and facilitating dialogue amongst women.
