Keeping Tongaat Beautiful

On 20 August 2008 Durban Solid Waste will open a garden refuse site in Tongaat. The site will be open to the residents for the disposal of garden refuse only.

‘Although it is a small site we are confident of the good service it will provide.’ said Robert Abbu programme director within Durban Solid Waste.
 
Deputy Mayor, Logie Naidoo who will be there to open the site has commended DSW for their work saying. ‘The garden site is part of eThekwini’s environmental programme. The site will serve the whole of the North coast area and I am confident it will go a long way to beautifying the Tongaat area.’
   
The site which will create employment for people in the area will be opened on the 20 August 2008, at 10:30am in Tongaat. The media are invited to attend.

DIRECTIONS

Take the N2, take Tongaat Toll. From toll turn left into Watson main road, pass first set robots, go straight through at the T-Junction, turn left, take first right at the second robot (see Truroland, NLC board), at yield sign turn left into Plain Street, at four way stop turn right into Catherine Street continue on road, Catherine Street leads into Edmund Morewood Street, drive straight through till the end of road (on right will be Garden Site)
