Foster Care Grant

Preconditions

The child must be in need of care, orphan, abandoned, at risk, abused and neglected.

Process to be followed

• If child found to be in need of care, children’s court inquiry is opened. Child legally placed with foster parents as identified and placement monitored.
  
• Payment of a foster grant can be recommended.
  
• Application should go to social security.
