• Fun Ferry Trips

  An enchanting valley of lakes, cascading waterfalls and rustic bridges
  

• Miniature Railway Society
  This is of model engineers. Rides for all on miniature railway. Kellaway Hall. Tel: 031 563 5755. 11am – 4pm on the second Sunday of each month
  

• Mitchell Park
  A municipal park offering a variety of birds, reptiles, large tortoises, a children’s playground and a tea garden
  

• Natural Science Museum
  A museum focusing on the earth and life on earth, with a life size dinosaur and other interesting animals. 

• Noo-Noo Farm - The Harvestry

• Palmiet Nature Reserve
  A birdwatcher’s paradise. The reserve contains over 14 indigenous trees plus over 100 different species of birdlife. Westville. Tel: 031 203 7065. Open seven days a week

• Rickshaw Rides

• Umgeni River Bird Park
  Visit one of the world’s finest bird parks with an extensive collection of exotic and indigenous birds. Spectacular waterfalls and lush vegetation and bird shows. 

• Umgeni Steam Railway
  Only operational on the last Sunday of the month. Go for a scenic steam train ride through the countryside. Cell: 082 353 6003. The train departs Kloof Station on the last Sunday of each month. Kloof Station to Inchanga & back. Departs at 12:15pm and returns at 4pm 

• uShaka Marine World
  uShaka Marine World in Durban has developed out of a vision to create a world-class entertainment and tourism destination for Durban and all of South Africa. 

• Wave House
  Featuring the D-Rex, two Flow Rider Waves, a Skate Park designed by Tony Hawk, live music, bar and restaurant with a view. Gateway Theatre of Shopping. Tel: 031 570 9200. Open daily from 9am – 10pm, except Fri & Sat, open till 12pm

• Ocean City Ice Rink
  Opening times and Prices: School holidays: The Ice Rink is open seven days a week, five sessions daily during school and public holidays. School term: During the KwaZulu-Natal school term the Ice Rink is open from Wednesday to Sunday and skate sessions are at 10am, 12:15pm, 2:30pm, 5pm, 7pm (Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday) and 7:30pm (Friday and Saturday). Skate sessions are two hours and cost R25 per person and R30 per person on Fridays and Saturdays.
