The Durban Natural Science Museum is the most utilized museum in South Africa.  It is visited and used by over a 150 000 school children a year. The museum is an educational resource aimed at helping the community recognize biodiversity in their everyday experience, understand their dependence on nature and their capability to act to conserve biodiversity.
