These surveys are important because they tell how far the Municipality has come from an apartheid-based society that was extremely unequal, and how far we still have to go towards a society where everyone has equal access to things such as electricity and water, education, economic opportunities and leisure facilities.
These Surveys set out to explore how residents of eThekwini feel about four aspects of life in eThekwini:
1. How people feel about their living conditions;
2. What they think about their neighborhoods;
3. How satisfied they are with the quality of their lives; and
4. Whether they are satisfied with municipal service delivery.
