Wyebank garden refuse site full

The City would like to advise residents that the Wyebank garden refuse site is currently full due to operational challenges. Residents are requested to use the Marrianhill landfill site for their garden refuse disposal.

A plan to clear and make space available as soon as practically possible is in action and a notice will be communicated once the site is cleared and open for public use. We request residents to adhere to Covid-19 protocols and onsite instructions.

The City apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Meanwhile, the Cleansing and Solid Waste (CSW) Unit advises residents that as of 8 February, garden refuse sites will revert to their normal operational hours which are in general 7am to 5pm daily.

Residents are reminded of following:

•Residents visiting all CSW waste facilities are kindly required to comply with all Covid-19 protocols and adhere to onsite instructions. Remember, no mask - no entry!

•All personal hygiene and sanitary products must be double bagged without compressing the waste. In addition, waste generated from households with residents in isolation or quarantine must also be double bagged and left out on the verge on normal collection day to protect CSW employees that are handling the waste.

For public enquiries call 031 311 8804 during office hours.
