Registrations open for the 22nd annual Durban Business Fair
In a quest to unlock potential and encourage economic inclusion of businesses in the mainstream economy of the City, eThekwini Municipality will host a 22nd annual Durban Business Fair on 22 - 27 September at the at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (Durban ICC) and Durban Exhibition Centre.

Registration for the interested businesses to participate in this prestigious exhibition is now open until 29 May 2020.

The Fair, which run parallel to the Durban Fashion Fair (DFF), is expected to attract thousands of visitors from both locally and abroad. The business show will be preceded by series of business empowerment seminars held from 22-24 September to be headlined by influential and prominent businesspeople in various business sectors. They will share their expertise with entrepreneurs to help advance their business knowledge.

The actual business exhibition will kickstart on 25-27 September, providing an opportunity for visitors to explore innovation and talents displayed by both emerging and established businesses. This impactful programme has not only assisted entrepreneurs to showcase and market their products, network and create linkages but also presented appropriate skills to grow and sustain their businesses to remain competitive.

With the economy in struggling to grow, the fair, has grown from strength to strength and is believed to play a meaningful role in increasing the number of entrepreneurs and make a huge dent to unemployment. Following this initiative, innumerable small businesses are now exporting their products worldwide thus raking in much needed revenue.

The city believes the Business Fair is indispensable in the city’s endeavor to nip in the bud the triple challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequality.

Businesses and aspirant entrepreneurs are urged to grasp this opportunity to showcase their products and services, using this platform to promote their businesses. Those wanting to exhibit are urged to register now as exhibition space is limited.

Registration forms are obtainable on the Municipal website: www.durban.gov.za or the Durban Business Fair website: www.dbnbusinessfair.com.
