City applauded for boosting township economy
ETHEKWINI Municipality’s South Regional Business Fair ended on a high note with participants praising the City for its robust interventions to include township entrepreneurs into the mainstream economy.

The Business Fair, held at the KwaMnyandu Shopping Centre recently attracted more than 15 000 visitors who were treated to the talent and innovation displayed by exhibitors. This year’s fair was visited by prominent dignitaries from both the private and public sectors as well as members of the public.

Among the high-profile guests that attended the event were Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba and Public Works Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko who both emphasised the important role small businesses play in stimulating township economy.
