Are you fit for the ramp?
2017 DFF new face winners - Samkelo Shinga and
Samantha Jali

The iconic Durban Fashion Fair (DFF), brought to you by the eThekwini Municipality will be hosting an open model casting.

Now in its 7th year, this fashion extravaganza boasts an array of international, national and emerging designers showcasing their creations on the catwalk and has thus become a highlight on the annual fashion calendar.

Not only has the eThekwini Municipality firmly backed the designers, the City has also created another platform for new faces/potential models, giving them an opportunity to break into the modelling industry.

EThekwini Municipality will be hosting Open Model Scouting days for men and women who have not yet signed up to a model agency to model at the Durban Fashion Fair 2018 which is earmarked for August at the ICC this year!

You need no experience or photographs. All selected individuals will be trained professionally to walk on a runway.

All aspirant/ new face models must be in good physical shape and must be between the ages of 16-35 years of age and have a valid ID document to bring with them to the casting: Ladies must have a minimum height without heels of 1.75 metres tall with a hip measurement of between 90-92 cm.

Ladies must wear minimal makeup, body fitting clothing (no jeans) and wear heels. Young men must be no less than 1.83 metres tall and fit into a size 30-32 trouser. They must wear a form fitted t-shirt/shirt and closed shoes or trainers.

Please note that the casting will take place at the Durban Exhibition Centre in Hall 6 (across the road from the Durban Workshop Shopping Centre) on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10 starting at 9am sharp to register.
