EDGE

The acronym, EDGE, stands for Economic Development and Growth in eThekwini. The brand was established in 2011 by the Economic Development and Investment Promotion Unit with the aim of creating a recognizable source of cutting-edge research and information.

Currently, the EDGE has two distinct facets; the production of publications/economic bulletins, and research papers on identified topics.

EDGE Economic Bulletin

The EDGE publications are quarterly economic bulletins that look at the eThekwini economy, with a brief overview of the global and national context. The EDGE aims to inform stakeholders of the latest developments and trends in eThekwini.
There are currently four editions that have been released since its inception in 2011. Each EDGE publication is centered on a specific theme:
